Plastic waste is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Many types of plastic are difficult or impossible to recycle, meaning they end up in the incinerator or as residual waste.
PlasmaCycle offers a groundbreaking solution: using plasma technology, we convert non-recyclable plastics into reusable raw materials. This closes the loop and drastically reduces waste streams.
PlasmaCycle technology uses extremely high temperatures generated by plasma to break down complex plastics into their building blocks, which can then be reused in industry.
even plastics that cannot normally be
recycled
minimal emissions and maximum
efficiency
valuable raw materials remain in the
chain
With PlasmaCycle, we are working towards a circular economy in which plastics are no longer a waste problem, but are a valuable raw material.
The project is supported by regional and national partners and co-funded by the Just Transition Fund (JTF). Together, we will ensure the scaling up and implementation of this innovative recycling technology.
With PlasmaCycle, we prove that innovation is the key to a cleaner, circular economy. By collaborating with businesses, governments, and knowledge institutions, we're moving from pilot to large-scale implementation.
